How should lithium battery forklifts (electric forklifts) be maintained?
Oct 23, 2018Maintenance of batteries for lithium battery forklifts:
If the battery is not used for a long time, it must be charged once within 60~90 days. The best storage state of the lithium battery is half-charged storage (that is, between 40% and 60% of the nominal capacity of the battery), because the lithium battery pack is in It will self-discharge during storage, and the BMS system in the lithium battery pack will also consume power.
Original charging equipment:
Try to use the original lithium battery charger to charge (do not use the lead-acid battery charger directly, keep this in mind), and use the regular matching lithium battery charger to charge the battery (also can not use the charger that does not match the model to charge) , do not use inferior or other types of battery chargers to charge lithium batteries. Inferior chargers and chargers with mismatched models will cause damage to the battery and even major safety accidents. Excessive charger current will break down the lithium battery protection system and cause a short circuit, resulting in safety accidents of the lithium battery. The charger voltage is too low, which makes charging inefficient and takes too much time.
Temperature environment during storage:
In fact, the most suitable temperature is about 25°C at room temperature. From the perspective of "aging", temperature may be the main reason for the gradual decline of lithium battery capacity. For different regions, low temperature resistant lithium batteries should be developed in cold areas, and high temperature resistant lithium batteries should be developed in high temperature areas.
